Final Reflection

During this portion of the course, I feel I was able to increase my overall technology skill in a variety of areas.   I was able to improve my skills in formatting a word processing document.  I feel very confident when working within a word document, and even more so know that I have had exposure to the tutorials on Atomic Learning.  I am very proud of my newsletter and feel that it is a great step in my overall classroom goal of increased communication with the parents of my IEP students.
Through this process, I was able to grow my skills in graphic design and slide presentations.  I am much more confident in my skills working with PhotoShop and Photostory.  I was able to connect a lot of the materials I was developing from my e-Learning course to development in my overall technology skill.
Finally, I feel that I was able to develop a helpful database to aide in sorting IEP information for my classroom. I really feel this is a tool that I will continue to use each year in my classroom.  It allows me to easily sort to determine upcoming IEPs, ETRs, and even birthdates and grade levels.
Overall, I really enjoyed this project.  Allowing us to set our own goals made it easy for differentiation and applicable skill development.  I think that this would be a great strategy to use in the classroom, because the content becomes much more meaningful for the students involved in the assignment.  I feel setting our own goals encouraged increased responsibility and increased internal motivation for me.  I enjoyed this assignment. Thank you for a great semester!
