Goals, Objectives and Schedule of Skills


Goal One:

Become more proficient utilizing word processing programs, specifically      Microsoft Word. 

Objectives:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to set tabs for columns of data and information. 
  2. Demonstrate the ability to set tabs for columns. 
  3. Format documents to include section breaks
  4. Turn automatic formatting options off and on
  5.  Create and use Styles
Module 2 Project:  Create a parent brochure to explain special education services provided in third and fourth grade.  classroom newsletter.

Goal Two:

 Increase knowledge base of graphic design, graphic design programs and custom animation to increase interest within slide presentations. 

Objectives:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to identify and utilize graphic design programs. 
  2. Demonstrate the ability to utilize a variety of drawing tools to create an educational graphic. 
  3. Demonstrate the ability to insert a designed graphic into a slide presentation. 
  4. Demonstrate the ability to incorporate custom animation within a slide presentation.   
Module  4 Project:  Create an educational graphic design. 
Module 4 and 5 Project:  Create an educational slide presentation that incorporates created graphic design and custom animation.


Goal Three:

 Increase knowledge and identify benefits of utilizing databases within special education classroom.

Objectives:

  1. Demonstrate the ability to create a database.  
  2. Demonstrate the ability to sort information within a database. 
  3. Identify the benefits of utilizing databases within the classroom setting. 

Module 6 Project:  Create a database of special education students and IEP info. (i.e. IEP/ETR dates, IEP goals/objectives and due dates.)
